TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 16 years and have taught a range of grades in both Primary and High School. I have taught from country towns to major capital cities. I have extensive experience in teaching in all levels of the curriculum. For the past 7 yrs I have been teaching in lower primary and thoroughly enjoy building up the foundation for younger students. I also have experience being a mentor teacher for the past 3 years for beginning teachers and new teachers to the school. I have presented several professional developmental sessions to staff about explicit teaching of higher order thinking skills and differentiation in the classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that all students are unique and therefore you need to cater for their diverse needs. I enjoy differentiating their learning and actively engaging students in meaningful and fun activities that promotes critical thinking skills and higher-order thinking. Make each lesson count!
