TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 5 years in a variety of settings from middle school in a rural community to teaching high school in the South Bronx. Throughout my time, I've been able to meet some amazing people who have helped me create a range of resources that focus on primary source text and images and that make literacy a central component to every class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style revolves around discussion. I have found that using primary source texts mixed with whole class discussion has allowed student to draw conclusions about the past and make connections between a myriad of topics. This method of teaching allows me to tailor each lesson to different sets of classes. I can add or remove certain scaffolds dependong on the level of each class and each class can draw different conclusions depending on how they interpret the evidence.
