Hello everyone! My name is Thaddius Green. I am currently located in Pompano Beach Florida/Fort Lauderdale/Miami. I hold a BA in Elementary Education K-6 with Reading and ESOL endorsements K-12. I am also gifted certified. In October of 2014, I obtained my Masters in Education specializing in reading and literacy. I attended Flagler College for my undergrad and Ashford University for grad school. Presently, I am enrolled in Keiser University’s Doctoral of Education program seeing my PhD in Education Leadership. At my job, I wear the hats of many. I am a fifth grade teacher as well as the math coach for grades K-6. My role is to coach teachers as well as conduct pull outs and push-ins for all grade levels to provide remediation and/or enrichment. I also chair PLC’s as well as Professional Development. I spend a lot of time advising teachers on different reading strategies that ultimately make reading fun and engaging. I am the SAC chair as well as the data analyst for the school. For the data analyst position, I spend a lot of time disaggregating data and establishing a game plan to implement the best practices that can be used to address the needs of the student. I am so excited to announce that this upcoming school year, I have accepted the challenge of teaching 8th Grade Reading at one of the local middle schools in Broward County. This will be a great challenge being that I have no experience with the older students, but I am well equipped to get the job done. My ultimate goal in completing a Ph.D in Educational Leadership is to go back to my hometown to change how the educational system currently is so that we can once again be one of the top districts in the state of Florida. I plan to accomplish this goal by starting off as a principal and then moving up to superintendent of schools. I am so excited for this year. I finally have my own parking lot at my school by winning teacher of the year. It is such a great honor to be able to accept such a prestigious award. It feels so good on the inside to know that my hard work as a teacher and leader does not go unnoticed.
