Hello! I am in my 36th year as a credentialed, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in rural, northern California. I work both in the public school system (three different schools) and in the local acute facility. Areas of expertise include CAS (childhood apraxia of speech), developmental articulation delays, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, voice disorders, language learning disabilities, fluency disorders, dysphagia, acute CVA, aphasia, dysarthria, ALS, Parkinson's disease, PSP. I also have experience as a supervising SLP and as an administrator and am the Lead SLP in my county.
Often the children I work with have weak auditory skills and stronger visual skills. I use the child's strengths to address their weaknesses. :)
