TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Kara has been teaching 4th grade for two years. Kara was an interrelated teacher, where she worked with kindergartners, second graders, and fourth graders in all content areas. She now teaches 4th grades and works as a reading and writing therapist outside of school. As a reading and writing therapist, she has worked with students in Kindergarten through eighth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe it is important to expose content in many different ways. My classrooms is hands-on, center based, interactive learning environments. I feel it is important to instill a love for learning in our students, while incorporating Common Core standards and technology.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Kara serves on her school's Leadership Committee as well as the Technology Committee at her school. Kara works at a wonderful elementary school that has been a Georgia School of Excellence for many years and ranked one of the best elementary schools in the state of Georgia.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Kara attended college at Baylor University. She graduated with a Bachelors in Arts degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in May 2011.

Kara has enjoyed created lots of engaging lessons and activities for her students and would love to share them with you! I hope you find helpful resources at my store. Enjoy!
