TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After more than 24 years of teaching English, journalism and drama at the secondary school and adult education levels, I became an education writer, editor and consultant. I have produced educational materials, syndicated educational features and educational tabloids and books through newspapers across the country. I served two terms chairing the Virginia Press Association's education committee, and presented at newspaper and education conferences across the country. I have worked as a certified homeschool evaluator, and my articles and columns about education have appeared in newspapers, magazines and education journals. I have written and edited education features for a national newspaper and as education editor of a national magazine.
