TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Elementary school teacher since 1996, multiple grade levels and subjects

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy teaching all elementary grade levels, but my passion is for upper-elementary language arts. For nearly a decade, however, I have been teaching computer science to kindergarten through sixth-grade students, but I still try to incorporate writing and grammar into my computer science lessons whenever possible (and it's almost always possible). I set the bar high for my students, and I enjoy a fun, open classroom atmosphere. My computer curriculum is demanding, but my students generally meet my expectations, often surprising themselves.
