TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Going to into my 2nd year as a certified elementary school teacher is just the beginning of my professional career. I've taught several after-school programs catered K-5th such as Adventure Club and home-schooled children at the Museum of Anthropology in Columbia, MO. While teaching in these programs I also tutored various courses in psychology while pursuing my undergraduate degree in the field alongside anthropology. After receiving a dual degree in both the majors stated above I joined the 2016 Corps of Teach For America. Teaching is something very dear to me and I must say it's a passion that'll never end.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I would describe my teaching style as hyperactive and unapologetic. My class is typically loud due to the music, hand claps, foot stomps, and chants we have. I enjoy incorporating music and rhythm in almost everything I teach. I'm very upfront and honest and would consider myself a very caring no-nonsense type of teacher. I get things done and my scholars soar each and every time.
