I have been teaching in the public schools in Huntington Beach, California for over 20 years. During that time, I have taught in grades 3-8 and a variety of subjects. I also took a two year sabbatical to teach at the International School in Stuttgart, Germany, where I taught second grade in a truly diverse environment. I am currently a math coach in my district and have my masters degree in Educational Technology.
I love teaching because I can be truly creative and inspired each and every day. I enjoy creating curriculum and projects for my students and following up their ideas and questions with inquiry driven assignments. I aspire to have cross-curriculum activities that cover all of the standards that need to be addressed, while at the same time, maximize student engagement and interest. I love bringing physical education, dance, music, art, and the performing arts into my classroom for my students to enjoy.
