I have taught kindergarten to year 7 in a range of schools and settings. I have taught in rural australis, metropolitan areas as well as spending 3 years teaching in East London. I have held numerous leadership positions but my heart truly lies in coaching and mentoring teachers.
Fun and free, firm but fair. I am a believer that everyone can learn, however as a teacher my role is to give targeted feedback to move learning forward. Through explicit teaching and differentiation, each student can receive what they need and continue to succeed.

As founder of Green and Growing Education, Amy is enthusiastic and passionate about education, but also understands firsthand the pressures, challenges and extreme workload that comes with being a teacher. With a career of over 12 years, spanning from rural NSW to the city of London UK, her experience includes both teaching and leadership roles from pre-school to year 10, Amy knows exactly what it is like to be a teacher, including the stresses, frustrations and pain that comes with the job. However, despite a broad career across a range of educational settings, Amy noticed one common theme; teachers are feeling stressed, unhappy and more unsupported than ever before. This was having a significant impact on how teacher’s were teaching, how organised and planned they were for lessons and how well they were able to meet student need. A significant impact was also being had on student outcomes. THIS HAS TO STOP Being a teacher, and having taught in some challenging settings, Amy knows if we don’t value and support our teachers, education is wasted. Happy teachers have happy engaged students, therefore Amy’s passionate about making sure we have happy teachers. After seeking out support for herself, which she couldn’t find in her school setting, Amy began studying Human Behaviour and Success Coaching at The Coaching Institute in 2014. After learning about various coaching methodologies, positive psychology and Meta Dynamics and NLP, she soon realised the positive impact these tools, systems and coaching methodologies would have in any school, for teachers, students and the wider school community. As Amy noticed the problems in schools getting bigger, especially for teachers, she repeatedly found herself thinking; ‘I have to help. I have to help our teachers. I have to help our students’. From this came Green and Growing Education. Amy is excited to be taking Green and Growing Education into schools to lead, educate and inspire teachers, school leaders, students, parents and the wider school community.
