Sandra Field: Born and raised in south east Kansas, Sandra grew to understand the benefits of small garden plots as she played and was nurtured by the change of seasons and a plentiful harvest. Family members gathered to share recipes and plan for the next season’s garden. Being nurtured by education and a kind, philanthropic township, led to a Bachelor of Science in Education and a life-long career in teaching and learning. Sandra is delighted to have connected with GDCE as she opens a new chapter in environmental education. Crystal Schalmo: With over ten years of experience as a zookeeper and educator, Crystal was inspired to pursue her passion in conservation education. She chose to complete a masters program which provided global opportunities to collaborate with other scientists, engage in field work, and allow her to experience incredibly diverse environments around the world. She created Green Dragon Conservation Education to share her passion for learning and to inspire others to become life-long global stewards.
