TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Greta has taught kindergarten and 1st grade for 23 years. Lisa has taught pre-k and kindergarten for 23 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Both Greta and Lisa believe in using developmentally appropriate strategies in their classrooms with a hands-on approach to learning. They both believe children learn best by doing.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Greta was chosen as the 2013 Dade County Teacher of the Year. She is also the recipient of the Golden Apple Award. Lisa was chosen as the 2008 Dade County Teacher of the Year and has also received the Golden Apple Award.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Greta received both her bachelor's degree in elementary education and master's degree in early childhood education from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She also has a gifted endorsement. Lisa received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education and her master's degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.
