I have over ten years of teaching experience at the middle and high school levels in both public and private schools. Currently, I teach 8th grade Language Arts but have also taught social studies and English courses at the high school level.
I use the Workshop model to deliver my instruction which allows me to differentiate for students of all levels. This model includes universal, small group, and one-on-one instructional practices.
I am currently working toward my National Board Certification.
I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life. I grew up in Door County and attended public school before leaving to continue my education at UW-River Falls. My first teaching license allows me to teach social studies from grades 6 to 12. Later, I added an additional English teaching license from UW-Oshkosh.
My husband and I live in the North woods of Wisconsin and have a passion for the outdoors. We love to spend our summers enjoying Wisconsin's beauty as well as traveling around the country. We are both blessed to teach middle school in a small town in North Western Wisconsin.
