Growing SONflowers

I have been a homeschool mama and curriculum creator for more than 15 years, and counting...my job is never done! :)

Our motto as a homeschool family has always been God first and everything else will fall into place. This is where my Store name came from. I love how the sunflower will always face the sun. It will follow the sun, it loves the sun. Just as we want our children to love and follow the SON, Jesus Christ. As the sunflower grows, small buds appear, with leaves that protect them just like God gives us as parents,teachers and pastors the job to surround our budding "Sonflowers" ..to love them, teach them, and protect them, and help their budding spritual, mental and physical bodies grow. Sunflowers also spread their seeds and plant more sunflowers. My greatest hope for my children has always been that they will follow the SON and spread His love and good news to as many as God puts in their path to share with.

I have been designing and using my own curriculum for so long that it will take some time for me to compile it all into formats to put on here to share. Please be patient and keep checking back with me, I will be adding things as often as I can. I am really hoping that these materials will not only bless you all as teachers and parents, but also will be a blessing to my husband and family as I try to supplement my hard working husband's income. He has always worked hard to support our family of 8 and I have done what I can to add to that over the years while still staying home to teach and raise our own 6 children, but he has mostly been our (pretty awesome and supportive) sole provider. I absolutely love graphic design and creating educational helps to use and share. My children are all getting older now and this gives me more time to focus on compiling all of my materials and posting them up to share! I presently have three in college (ages 21, 19, 18), one in high school (age 15), one in middle school (almost 13) and one that I am still presently homeschooling that is 9.This is me in a nutshell: God, my husband, my children, and my love of teaching! :)
