MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in getting students to make music as soon and as naturally as possible. To do this I have developed materials that are easy to read and that are fun to play. In my classes, I include a balance of melody and note reading; singing and strumming; rhythm, scales, strength building, ear training, accompaniment techniques, improvisation, and repertoire. At the end of the semester, students should be able to tune their guitar, have a list of songs to play, and be able to learn on their own.
