Illustration and graphic design, home school
I prefer to teach using visual aids and hands on projects, as this really resonates with my student. Anytime I can sneak art in to the curriculum, I do it! I do not believe art should be a subject taught just once a week as an elective. The joy of art should to be infused throughout the school day, to be practiced and utilized as a valuable study tool.

I grew up drawing cartoons. At age 8 I'd create crookedly stapled together comic books for my dad and deliver them to the garage where he would be working on wood projects. Eventually I went to a liberal arts college, and then design school. Now I illustrate and design and also have my own wood working business. You can see more of that at www.dangerboxshop.com
I'm a mom to a 5th grade boy, and we are home schoolers. In an effort to captivate his interest and enhance his understanding, I have been drawing cartoon versions of his science lessons. I've uploaded what I've created so far to share with your students too! I hope you can use my downloads to enrich your classroom. Please keep checking in for new material! Thank you for stopping by.
