I am a homeschool mom that teaches at a local co-op. I have 4 kiddos and enjoy studying different teaching methods and styles. I take pride in writing my own curriculum and lesson plans.
After studying an array of teaching styles, I believe that simple is better. I keep lessons, sweet and to the point. The ultimate goal for me as a teacher is to teach a child to learn independently in order to continue to gain knowledge well into their adult years. I enjoy a sprinkle of Charlotte Mason but prefer to mostly focus on the 3R's. I believe if a child masters Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, he or she can learn anything! As a homeschool mom, I prefer to use the Robinson Curriculum for my guide and then add my own stuff to suite my children's needs. I love old books and think that just because something is old, doesn't mean it is no longer valuable. My focus is to take the old and add a modern flare to it so we as educators can still use these vintage resources in our classrooms or homeschool today. Thank you for stopping by my store and I hope you can find what you are looking for to inspire your students to always continue learning!
