I have been teaching for 25 years and my experience includes teaching students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. I have been teaching Grade 1 for about 20 years now and absolutely love that grade level.
I love to engage students with centers and activities that get them to think and to move around too! I incorporate center based activities into Math and Language everyday and attempt to introduce them into other areas of the curriculum when it is good fit.
It is an honour to have a job I love and to go to work everyday and make the difference for my students!
I graduated from Trent University with an Honours degree in 1993. I completed my teaching degree at Queen's University in 1994. I have part one of my Reading Specialist and continue to take part in any professional development opportunities that offered by my board.
