TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I previously worked for a local school board as a Literacy Assistant and Special Education Assistant for over 16 ears and now own My Literacy Space. I work with students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 9.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strongly believe in a multisensory approach to learning and using my creativity to discover each student's strengths and interests. I am passionate about advocating for my students and love being one of their biggest cheerleaders!

I earned a Teacher's Assistant Certificate from the University of Calgary and am currently working on a Sociology Degree with a focus on Gender and the Family at the University of Calgary.

I have owned my own tutoring company called My Literacy Space since 2008. All of my activities are created to engage and motivate students as they work to achieve success in all aspects of literacy. I am a National Trainer for Reading With TLC specializing in the multisensory, phonics-based reading program called Lively Letters and Sight Words You Can See reading program.
