TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 5 years of teaching experience teaching High School English & Humanities. My experience includes American Literature, British Literature, Speech, and AP Literature & Composition. I have taught at all levels, from remedial through honors, and like to focus my teaching on college readiness.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Most of my English activities and content are cross disciplinary with US, World History, or Civics. I like to focus my activities on college readiness and global thinking. activities where students are thinking critically, discussing, and then applying their thinking to independent writing are common in my classroom. I want my students' written and verbal communication skills to be equally strong, so I tend to incorporate both into my lessons as often as possible.
