TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I studied International Relations and then got a Masters in Education. I have been a teacher in Nicaragua for over 10 years. I am a mom of five children between the ages of 6 and 21. So that's ample experience if you ask me!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe the learning environment is one of the most influential and important elements in a child's education. A child can not learn if he is not liked, accepted, and respected. When you set a welcoming tone in your classroom and when love and respect guide your teaching, wonderful things happen, not only academically, but also emotionally.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I was the oldest of five children and my parents were immigrants to the United States. I learned English in third grade thanks to the dedication of an amazing and caring teacher. I went to school in Michigan, then did highschool in Ohio, and then in my senior year we moved back to Nicaragua. I enrolled in a Catholic university and a few years after graduation I got my Masters Degree in Education.
