I am young and do not have too many years under my belt yet, but I have had many rich experiences. In college I worked as a research assistant with one of my Health Education professors as well as one of my Physical Education Professors. I've been able to attend several and present at the WHPE Conference. I have all had the privilege to attend the SHAPE Convention. I was hired as a APE/PE/Health teacher at Prescott High School in Wisconsin. I worked there until I had my son Eli. I've been at home for a year, but I'll be starting up another part-time teaching job soon. While at Prescott, I had the opportunity to rewrite new curriculum, create my own class called Lifetime Fitness, apply for and receive substantial grants, and was asked to work as a part of the WISELearn development team for CESA 11.
I'm continually seeking out new ways to present content to students. I believe learning should be exciting for students and should stay current with the times. I want students to remember what they've learned in my classes and be able to apply it to their lives for years to come.
