I am currently enrolled in a Single Subject Teaching Credential program, but I wanted to post my lesson plans on TpT to keep a timeline of my growth as a teacher. I do put a lot of work into my lesson plans and all of the worksheets are created by me using programs such as Canva and PowerPoint. I am a substitute teacher, so I do believe that my lesson plans are practical and effective for classroom learning.
It will be my goal as a teacher to minimally use the outdated health text books that most public schools provide. I hope that students will learn how to use reputable resources such as the American Heart Association, National Institutes of Health, etc. in order to stay up-to-date with information and statistics. I believe that health class should be engaging, interactive and student-centered. My resources on TpT will reflect this. Although there is quite a bit to read in some of the resources, it's only because I want to make sure to explain the thoughts behind my little brainchildren (lesson plans). As you can see with the lesson plans that are already posted, I do enjoy creating visually appealing worksheets and resources. But, please be patient with me, as I am still learning and improving on making resources teacher-friendly with minimal preparation. If I don't enjoy what I'm teaching, I know the students aren't going to enjoy learning the material.
