TEACHING EXPERIENCE

4th grade teacher in an urban school with students of 60%+ ESL and 90%+ free/reduced lunch. ESL endorsed. Trained in the SOIP model and co-teaching models.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in creating a love of learning for students by modeling what it means to be a lifetime learner. I believe students learn best through meaningful activities just beyond their current scope of understanding. I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment in which students are encouraged to take risks and set lofty goals. I believe in providing the proper amount of scaffolding and support for each student, relative to their individual needs.
