I have been in the field of early childhood education since 1994, and I currently teach kindergarten in the state of Washington. I have worked in public and private elementary school settings, Head Start, college/university laboratory schools, and private preschools throughout the Pacific Northwest. I also spent four (plus) years working with adults in the Cincinnati area and loved that dynamic, as well. I really enjoy working with people of all ages. :)
I am a very creative and energetic teacher, and my classroom has been built around the concept of play-based learning! One of my classroom superpowers is hosting meaningful, hands-on whole group instruction.
Yet to be added
I am currently a doctoral student. I hold degrees in early childhood education, human development, and elementary education with endorsements in: early childhood education, elementary education, and reading intervention. I have also been trained in the Orton-Gillingham (multi sensory) approach to reading intervention.
