I have retired from teaching after 29 years in public education. I love my former ‘kids’ and will always stay close to them as they have become like family to me. I taught 3rd grade for one year, 4th grade for four years, then found my niche in 5th grade, teaching science for 24 years. I have taught all subjects, but my passion is in science. I also teach Bible classes to elementary-aged children at my church and online classes through World Bible School. My husband and I wrote programs for Vacation Bible School for over 25 years.
If we can get our hands on it, we will do it! I use textbooks as resources only, not as the only way to learn. I enjoy taking the students outside as much as possible to show them science in action.
