TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a home school mother for 10 years and teaching classes to home school students at co-ops and home school academies for 9 years. I currently am the director and history teacher for one of Jill Dixon’s Eclectic Academy of Learning campuses. I used all of these activities in my older student (8th-12th) and younger student (4th-7th) classes at our weekly class. One of our primary goals is filtering the best of esteemed educational philosophies (classical, Charlotte Mason, & core knowledge) through learning styles. It is always a challenge to engage each student but these types of activities have been proven ‘in the field’. I hope you enjoy these activities as much as I know your students will.

MY TEACHING STYLE

An emphasis on multiple learning styles with engaging, hands on, exciting activities to stimulate critical thinking skills and make history relevant to current events.
