Since I had my first classroom, I have vowed to create everything for my students instead of using the Basil or other ineffective text books. All of my experience has been in elementary school. After switching schools three times, I have had the opportunity to learn many different teaching strategies and styles. Overall, most rewarding is touching the lives of students in low income schools.
I am a true believer in project based learning. I feel that students learn best when they are creating standards based projects using their hands and intellect!
