After obtaining a Bachelor's in Chemistry, and working as an Analytical Chemist for several years, I chose to follow my true passion--teaching! I saw that many of my college classmates (including myself) struggled with the math concepts that are required in STEM fields. I knew that I could make a difference and show that Math is not sometime to be feared, but to use as a tool to explain the world around us. I have taught 7th and 8th grade Math, 8th grade STEM (Integrated Science/Math) and am currently teaching High School with Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 classes this year.
I believe that education should be as hands-on and interactive as you can possible make it.
