I have taught grades K-5 for the past 20 years and am excited to share my ideas at Teachers Pay Teachers! I've taught in New York and Tennessee, both in the public and private schools. I have a passion for the primary grades as I love watching children become readers, writers, and learners.
My classroom is child-centered, filled with centers, literacy stations, and math tubs for differentiated learning. I am there to introduce, model, and tailor learning experiences to help children find success.
2012-2013 School Teacher of the Year
I studied Elementary Education at Wheaton College and continued on to a Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading at the State University of New York at Buffalo. I have 22 years of hands-on classroom training from my students!
And just for fun...I am a part time fitness instructor and write a food blog called Gluten-Free Cat.
