TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught middle school English, Bilingual Science, History, and Spanish in Milwaukee Public Schools, Wis. and Glendale Unified School District, Calif. for six years. I was a Bilingual Teacher and a District Teacher Leader in the Professional Development. I am currently a Bilingual Instructional Resource Teacher and Technology Teacher in Madison, Wis. My passion for Latin American literature stems from my Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I hope to share my love of the South with the world.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe learning occurs through play, talking, reading, and writing in a safe and trusting environment. The open the head and pour in the information approach that was illustrated in Waiting for Superman, just doesn't work for me.
