I have worked with children who have varying disabilities for over 5 years. I have worked in a group home, at a private home, and in a public school as a one-on-one para. I am now working with "typical" children and with my FAVORITE age group, Preschoolers! I love the challenges preschools present when teaching and all the crazy ideas they come up with while they are learning. I am blessed to work at a great preschool where we have 5+ acres to play on and access to many fun animals on a daily basis. We have a goat, turkey, chickens, bunnies and even 13 horses!
I like a hands on approach with my preschoolers. I love using differentiated activities to keep the kiddos on the move. My work with disabled children has really opened my eyes to the different styles of learning and given me a deeper understanding of they many ways children process information.

I began my Speech Pathology Degree many years ago. I got about half way finished, then became pregnant with my third child and decided to go back to staying home with my kids. Since then I have acquired my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.
We are a military family and are often on the move. My husband has been in the United States Air Force for 7 years. I have 3 children; 8, 7 and 5 years old. I love working with 4 and 5 year old children. http://whatahootprek.com/
