I have taught a combination of Social Studies, English, Language Arts, Health and Humanities based classes from grades 7-12. I am very passionate to find cross-curricular, relevant connections within curriculum and real world issues.
I believe that teaching is what you make of it. It can be rigid and structured or free and fluid. Every class, every student, every lesson should be treated differently. I like to challenge my students to look at things differently and try to expand their abilities by exploring their own personal inquiry and furthering their understanding by making connections to previous or newly acquired ideas. Instead of passenger, they should be captain of their own learning.
