My days are full of variety and high energy. In the morning, you will find me instructing kindergarten, first third, and fifth graders using curriculums such as Wilson Just Words, Leveled Literacy Instruction, Beverly Tyner, Rick Duvall, Daily Five, and other researched based literacy strategies. In the afternoon, working on family involvement, you might find me leading planning meetings, facilitating events such as K-2 Math and Literacy Night, Rock ‘n’ Read, Kindergarten Read-a-Rama or Lunch and Learns. Last year, I had the honor of presenting some of our family involvement ideas at WSRA. My presentation was titled: “Unlocking the Parent Toolbox in Family Involvement”. I serve on the Parkview Data Team, iPad Cohort B and am part of a Professional Learning Community with three other colleagues from Pupil Services. This year I also have an active leadership position as the Wisconsin Title One Co-President charged with planning the Spring Conference with the theme: “Powerful Possibilities”.
