I have been teaching for 11+ years. I have taught all grades as well as AIS and Technology. I was also a UFT (United Federation of Teachers) chapter leader. I am very well informed of the Charlotte Danielson Method as well as the teacher evaluation system. I not only teach in NYC but have also taught for NYS. I have been a tutor, a grade leader, model teacher, on panels with the principal of school and so much more. I believe that all of these experiences have enabled me to become a strong and knowledgeable teacher, but I am still learning, especially with the implementation of the CCSS. My experience only will grow as we all help each other and learn different styles that will only help us within our classroom as well as with our colleagues.
My style of teaching constantly evolves due to new curriculum's, resources, evaluation systems and methods, in which we are observed under. I Wherever I teach, I am bound to the vision of the principal as well as the school. I am a very hands on teacher and will stop at nothing to ensure my students understand what they are learning. I reflect upon my teaching skills daily, which keeps me on my toes and constantly looking for new and innovated methods to use within my classroom.
