TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 3rd grade teacher with 9 years of experience. I have taught pre-k through 3rd grade, but most of my time has been in 3rd grade over the last 9 years. I have a masters in Early Childhood Literature with a Capstone Project (thesis) on Teaching Enrichment and Gifted Learners. I teach in Pickerington Local School district in the state of Ohio where we have a focus on Common Core and STEM.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I LOVE real-world teaching scenarios! It is my deep belief that worksheets and test prep is not preparing our students for the future that awaits them. They need to learn through doing and through real-world scenarios and experience.
