With recent work as a lead committee member in revising Missisippi's state standards, experience in a middle school science classroom, and being a Mississippi Sciencet Teachers Association board member, there has been consistent opportunities to display my content knowledge and dedication to the education field. Through these positions and additional work in leading and planning professional development and mentoring teachers and interns, a strong belief in high expectations for all students and pre-service teachers is imperative. As science and teaching students requires the ability to think and reason, problem solve, and collaborate with others, my students and mentored teachers consistently develop the skills necessary to be successful in college, career, and society.
