I began teaching in January 2010. My first job was teaching Spanish 1 & 2 at my high school for 2.5 years. Then I moved on to an elementary school where I taught Spanish to all levels (K-5) for 2 years. From August 2014 - May 2016 I returned to the high school level to teach Spanish 1 & 2. I now work for the Department of Education.
I've never been too thrilled with the Spanish textbooks I've seen, so I've always made my own materials. I'm an OCD perfectionist who wants everything to look cute and perfect which is really apparent in my materials. I like to use pictures rather than words, alternative assessments to tests, and games to drive home concepts.
I haven't received any official teaching honors yet...but I have recently mastered the art of folding a fitted sheet, which is the most difficult thing a human being can accomplish.

I love Netflix, being introverted, the great indoors, grammar, and geeky/sci-fi things. I have an amazing husband I married 10.11.15 and two awesomely odd dogs. I love to travel and have been to 15 different countries (16 if you count the Dublin airport). In my free time I like to reminisce about the time before I knew I was allergic to gluten and egg; a time when food didn't taste like sadness.
