I have had many years of lasting success in the classroom. As a recent graduate I have excelled in my undergraduate teaching career, and hope to offer my newly learned skills to your classroom. Currently I am in a resource room position, and I enjoy crafting many different and varied activities for my students! It can be quite a task, as all resource room teachers know, to bring students to lasting success especially when they are all on different levels of instruction. It is for this reason that I strive to streamline my small groups so that all students can reach excellence on their individual level.
I am a firm believer that the best way for students to learn is to have a strong sense of continuity in instruction. When subjects and materials are linked with one another, students are able to make deep and lasting connections to the material. As an educator I strive to link as many subjects as I can to one another so that students form a foundation of knowledge and are able to identify and recognize these connections even many months after they have been taught. With this being said, I also bring out the best in my students by working with their different learning styles to make instruction more meaningful for every student!
I graduated Valedictorian from William Paterson University with a degree in both history and elementary education K-5 with an endorsement in Special Education. I was awarded an Excellence in Teaching award from the department of Special Education and Counseling.
