TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my nine years as a high school English teacher, I have taught ICS, Academic, and honors level students in grades 10-12.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students learn best when they are engaged and challenged, so I design my lessons around this belief. The activities I create encourage students to relate class content to their own lives, and ensure that they develop skills that will help them succeed outside of the classroom. Moreover, I believe that teachers must make their expectations clear; for this reason, students receive detailed directions and rubrics with each newly assigned task.
