TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching ELA in 2007 at a large rural high school in southern Ohio. I've taught 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English, as well as drama and OGT prep courses.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to interact with my students. My classroom is rarely quiet, but it is engaging, challenging, and effective. Whether it's acting out Shakespeare's Hamlet, debating beliefs before writing a This I Believe essay, researching the Holocaust while reading Elie Wiesel's Night, or having a 1920's 'tea party' with Gatsby and Daisy, there's always a level of controlled chaos going on in my classroom!
