TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I worked on Long Island for several years before transferring to New York City, where I teach inner city students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Please download my sample activity for an example of what my lessons are like! They are designed for bell-to-bell instruction and have been designed based on YOUR feedback! My style involves the implementation of multiple activities per day. I hit anywhere between 3 and 5 activities, ranging in levels of rigor, and try to provide options for students as often as I can. Any texts are written by me. Any photos used in my handouts were taken from websites where they were listed as public domain and free to reuse. I do not ask specific questions with videos. Instead, I find it to be more engaging for students to create their own questions to ask the class. It provides a level of choice AND control over their own learning. Videos are taken from youtube and the links are provided on each handout. YOUTUBE IS NOT BLOCKED BY MY DISTRICT! If it is blocked in yours, it may be worthwhile to find an alternative for that particular activity.
