I have been teaching since 2003. I began as an ESL teacher working in Japan, China and Australia and then have been teaching high school English and History and Geography since 2011.
I think that increasing and activating a student's vocabulary is a key skill that needs to be focused on in all teaching areas. I love using creative teaching methods to engage students and instil a life long love of learning.

I currently host a Podcast called History Detective. These episodes aligned to the history curriculum in Australia, but also have connections to the UK curriculum. Episodes are free and can be listened to on all Podcast Platforms. Reflection questions come in the show notes, but these resources include pre-listening vocabulary, song analysis and extra reflection questions and further research activities. Resources can be purchased in editable or non-editable formats.
