This simulation is a big hit, both because it involves candy and because it poignantly demonstrates how unequal (and unfair, they'll likely complain) Feudalism is. It helps students of all levels understand not only Feudalism, but also taxation and

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach at a Paidea school where didactic instruction is limited in favor of coaching and direct student involvement/experimentation. I focus a great deal on concepts such as class, the role of government, the interaction between humans and the environment, and religious doctrines. My lessons and activities are geared toward student engagement, interaction with challenging material, and synthesis of novel information into personally meaningful terms.
