I started out my education career teaching United States History and United States Government. While I enjoyed teaching in these areas I was particularly interested in teaching middle school social studies. Once the opportunity presented itself I took a position teaching sixth grade Ancient World History. I have been in love with this subject since day one!
I practice a variety of teaching style because my students have a variety of learning styles. I use technology often in my lessons, students are often engaged in activities using the content, and most of all, students have fun in my room and with my lessons. I truly believe that learning should be fun and meaningful.
Nominated for teacher of the year during my first school year. Member of the Holocaust Educator's Network.
My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Social Studies. I graduated magna cum laude. I am currently working on a Master's degree in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.
