TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school in Massachusetts for almost 20 years. I've taught World History, U.S. History, Political Science, Student Leadership and Global Studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to incorporate as literature and non-fiction into my history classes. I also like students to dive into high interest projects. I've been trained in Understanding by Design as well as Project Based Learning from the Brook Institute and the Case Method at the Harvard Business School. I want students to remember what they learn while also enjoying the class.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've served as the head of the Social Studies department at my school for the past four years.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Boston College with a degree in history and then received my masters degree in education from Northeastern University.
