TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Eight (8) years teaching Social Studies. Seven (7) years teaching World / Global History and Geography. Working on my first year teaching AP European History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to change things up. Given the complexities of world history, I start with a foundation in vocabulary. I find that students lack serious geography skills, so I tend to incorporate geography as much as possible. Every history course worth its salt should emphasize the analysis of primary source documents. Technology is a tool I use in my classroom, so I like Google Classroom ready materials.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My greatest honor is any time a student tells me I am their favorite teacher!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
