I have taught various junior high business and history courses including World History, U.S. History, Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, and others. I have also taught various high school business courses including Virtual Enterprise, Financial Accounting, and Computer Business Applications, some of which were dual enrollment with the local junior college.
I enjoy using project-based strategies in my classroom. I provide the students opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the classroom through various projects. Connecting real-life experiences to the classroom is essential for students to achieve job-related skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
I have led a group of students to become finalists in the national business plan competition, as well as placed in other various business competitions through the Virtual Enterprise program.
I have a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo. I also have an M.B.A. with a focus in Marketing and Business Analytics from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I hold three different teaching credentials in California including Single Subject Business, Single Subject Social Science, and Designated Subjects CTE - Business and Finance.
