I have taught 7th and 8th grades for 22 years. I have worked in a low income school teaching English, Reading and American history.

I have been recognized by Who's Who in American Education twice and was awarded my district's highest teaching award in 2008.
I majored in history and went back to school as a mother with four children. By then I knew teaching was the field for me and I found I loved the young teens. I have a master's degree in secondary education and an additional 70 hours in education classes.
I am the mother of three sons and a daughter who are all successful adults. That is my proudest accomplishment!
