For twelve years, I energetically served in public education as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher in Title 1 schools. I got joy out of turning on the lights of the eyes that were once dim, giving hope in hopeless situation, and seeing success story after success story. At the end of my 2012-2013 school year, my husband and I felt that God was calling me home to care for and educate our children on a full-time basis. Previously, I had only developed curriculum that was used at home in the evenings and on the weekends, but when I saw the progress of my daughter, I knew that these strategies were something that would benefit other parents that wanted to make home schooling simple. As a result, Home Schooling Made Simple was born. The rest is history and the future is currently being written.
I am a teacher that believes in engaging the whole child. When it comes to new concepts, they need to see it, feel it, move it, and even taste it if possible.
